What Happens At Catholic Easter Vigil Mass

After the Paschal Candle is lit, the Exsultet is sung. This is a hymn of praise to God for the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Exsultet is sung by the deacon, and it sets the tone for the rest of the Mass.
